FAISALABAD, May 17 (APP): The police have launched a vigorous crackdown against proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes and arrested 11 dangerous fugitives wanted in cases of murder, attempted murder, robbery, theft and bogus cheques.
Police spokesman said here on Sunday that the arrests were made during successful intelligence-based operations and targeted raids conducted by police teams in different parts of the district.
He said that the arrested proclaimed offenders included Bilal, Fahad, Ateeq, Imran, Afzal, Sajid, Javed and several others who had long been wanted by police in serious criminal cases.
The accused were taken into custody after coordinated raids and effective surveillance operations, he added.
He said that the ongoing intelligence-based actions and targeted operations had further tightened the noose around proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals involved in serious offences.
Special teams were actively working to trace and arrest absconders to ensure protection of citizens and maintenance of law & order, he added.
