ISLAMABAD, May 16 (APP): The Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) on Saturday paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmiri religious scholar and former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sheikh Ghulam Hassan, terming his demise an irreparable loss to the nation and the people of Kashmir.
In a statement issued from Srinagar, National Front spokesperson Advocate Muhammad Haseeb Wani expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of the senior leader and extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
He prayed that Allah Almighty may grant the deceased a high place in His mercy and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this loss.
The spokesperson, while highlighting the social, political and intellectual services of Sheikh Ghulam Hassan, said that the late leader had dedicated his entire life to the welfare of society and the Kashmir cause.
He said that his wisdom, integrity, and unwavering determination earned him immense respect among different sections of society.
The spokesperson said that Sheikh Ghulam Hassan’s lifelong struggle and principled politics would always remain a beacon of light for future generations.
He added that despite facing difficult circumstances and political oppression, the late leader remained steadfast in his ideals and never compromised on his principles.
