The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, will depart for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Saturday to review the Hajj arrangements, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring every possible facility for the intending pilgrims of Hajj 2026.
Religious minister to fly KSA for reviewing Hajj arrangements
ISLAMABAD, May 16 (APP): The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, will depart for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Saturday to review the Hajj arrangements, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring every possible facility for the intending pilgrims of Hajj 2026.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry, up to 91,000 intending pilgrims have been transported to Saudi Arabia through 362 flights so far.
He said that more than 86,000 Hajj pilgrims were in Makkah, while 5,000 were in Madina. Similarly, 26,000 Hajj pilgrims under the private scheme are also in Saudi Arabia and 416 buses have been allocated to provide travel facilities under the Haram Transport system, he said.
The minister said that dozens of Haram guides had been deployed around the Haram to guide Hajj pilgrims.
An additional 106 Hajj flights will transport the remaining pilgrims to Saudi Arabia by May 21.
