DC directs to expedite district’s beautification schemes

RAWALPINDI, May 15 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema on Friday chaired a meeting at to review progress on various beautification schemes across the district.
The meeting reviewed initiatives related to restoration of green belts, cleanliness, improvement of roads, upgradation of parks and measures to enhance the overall urban environment.
The deputy commissioner directed the authorities to accelerate implementation of beautification projects to provide citizens with a clean and pleasant environment.
Assistant Commissioners of Cantt, City, Saddar and Kallar Syedan, along with the Deputy Director Development, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi and other officials attended the meeting.
The deputy commissioner said that all departments should work in coordination in line with the vision of the Punjab chief minister to transform Rawalpindi into a green and model city.
He also stressed the need for continuous monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure timely completion.
