Commissioner fines contractor Rs200,000 over poor cleanliness at Hospital

FAISALABAD, May 15 (APP):Commissioner Mussarat Jabeen imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on the contractor of the Project Management Unit over poor cleanliness conditions at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Hospital in Haseeb Shaheed Colony.
During a surprise visit to the hospital, the commissioner made it clear that no compromise would be made on maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in healthcare facilities. She reviewed the condition of various wards, checked the number of patients under treatment and examined the medicine record and availability of medicines.
Mussarat Jabeen also directed authorities to process the leave request of the Medical Superintendent and expressed displeasure over the delay in issuing a Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC) to a woman who had been waiting at the hospital for two days. She ordered the duty doctor to resolve the matter immediately.
The commissioner said that making hospitals complaint-free remained a top priority and that surprise inspections would continue.
