MANSEHRA, May 14 (APP):A dignified ceremony was held at Hazara University to mark the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, where speakers paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and reaffirmed national unity and patriotism.
Chief guest Brigadier Abdul Hafeez, Principal of Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi, said that on May 10, 2025, Pakistans armed forces wrote a new chapter of courage in military history by crushing the enemy’s ambitions, forcing India to admit defeat within ten minutes. He said the armed forces continue to render unmatched sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and in defending the motherland.
Abdul Hafeez stated that hostile forces, including India and Israel, had repeatedly attempted to destabilize Pakistan but always faced strong resistance from the Pakistan Armed Forces. Brigadier Abdul Hafeez said the unwavering support and prayers of the Pakistani nation strengthen the morale of the armed forces, enabling them to make every sacrifice for the country’s defense.
Addressing students, he urged them to adopt unity, discipline, patriotism, and commitment to national security as guiding principles in their lives, adding that strong nations are built through educated, responsible, and aware youth.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Ikramullah Khan, while addressing the gathering, termed the “Battle of Truth” a significant chapter in Pakistan’s history. He said that despite attacks on several key locations in Pakistan, the countrys armed forces not only defended the homeland but also taught the enemy an unforgettable lesson through their professionalism and strategic capability.
The Vice Chancellor announced that children of martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces would be provided free higher education at Hazara University in recognition of the supreme sacrifices rendered by their families for the nation. He said Pakistan, though geographically smaller, remains a powerful country in the region because of its highly professional and organized armed forces.
The ceremony was attended by students from different academic departments, faculty members, professors, and university staff.
