Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, on Thursday called on Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and discussed prospects for judicial cooperation, legal assistance and modernization of court systems between the two countries.
Azerbaijan offers technical support for digitalisation of Pakistan’s constitutional court

ISLAMABAD, May 14 (APP): Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, on Thursday called on Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and discussed prospects for judicial cooperation, legal assistance and modernization of court systems between the two countries.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar was also present during the meeting held at the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan.
During the meeting, the Azerbaijani minister congratulated the chief justice on the successful completion of six months of the Federal Constitutional Court and appreciated its “progressive and efficient working” in a short period of time. He acknowledged the court’s growing role in strengthening constitutional governance and the rule of law in Pakistan.
Farid Ahmadov said Azerbaijan’s Constitutional Court, established in 1998, possessed extensive institutional and judicial experience that could be shared with the FCCP for mutual cooperation and capacity building. He stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand legal and constitutional cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed judicial collaboration, exchange of institutional expertise and cooperation in modernising judicial systems.
The Azerbaijani minister expressed his country’s willingness to provide technical assistance to Pakistan, particularly in the integration of artificial intelligence into legal systems and the digitalisation of judicial processes to help achieve a paperless judicial system.
Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan welcomed the delegation and highlighted the progress made by the FCCP during its first six months. He said the court remained committed to speedy disposal of cases, efficient service delivery and strengthening constitutional justice in the country.
The chief justice appreciated Azerbaijan’s offer of cooperation and underlined the importance of international collaboration in promoting innovation, efficiency and accessibility in judicial institutions.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening legal and judicial ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and agreed to continue engagements for institutional cooperation and exchange of expertise.
