QUETTA, May 13 (APP):Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Wednesday conferred Presidential Awards to numerous distinguished individuals during the Investiture Ceremony at Governor’s House, Quetta.
A grand ceremony was held at the House Quetta to distribute the Presidential Awards on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
On behalf of the President of Pakistan, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel awarded various personalities of the province who have rendered distinguished services in different walks of life with the Presidential Civil Awards Sitara Shujaat and Tamgha Imtiaz.
The grand ceremony of the Presidential Awards was attended by Federal Minister for Science and Technology Nawabzada Khalid Hussain Magsi, provincial ministers, members of the assembly, provincial ministers including Mir Asim Kurd Gelu, Mir Muhammad Khan Lehri, Haji Barkat Rind, Kulsoom Niaz Baloch, senior government officials and distinguished guests, including people from various fields and relatives of the awardees.
The recipients of the Presidential Awards, Star of Courage and Tamgha Imtiaz included Shaheed Ghulam Farid, Director Agriculture Dr Syed Habibullah Shah, Muhammad Karim Saqib, Sultan Javed Jamal, Noor Muhammad Baloch, Shahzeb Khan, Shaheed Muzaffar Hussain Jamali, Founding Vice Chancellor of Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Prof Dr Naqeebullah Achakzai, Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS University Dr. Khalid Hafeez, renowned artist A.D. Baloch and Fazal Muhammad.
It should be noted that the above-mentioned Presidential Awards were to be given on the occasion of Pakistan Day on March 23, 2026, however, due to some unavoidable reasons, the program was canceled and rescheduled for May 13.
