FAISALABAD, May 12 (APP): University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has organized a thalassemia awareness walk to raise public understanding about thalassemia, its prevention and importance of regular screening.
The university also hosted “Red Cell Symposium – a day of awareness, learning & impact” in collaboration with Blood Donor Society under the umbrella of Senior Tutor Office UAF.
Dr. Farwa Batool Shamsi Head of Pathology Department Faisalabad Medical University (FMU), Dr. Shamsa Kamal Assistant Professor Department of Pathology FMU, Dr. Muhammad Kashif Associate Professor PBG Department UAF, Dr. Sadia Saleem CVS Consultant PTGD and Abdul Mannan Genetic Counselor PTGD, Dr. Mahwish Israr and others enlightened the audience about various red cell disorders, genetic conditions, awareness strategies and the importance of early diagnosis and community support.
