SUKKUR, May 12 (APP): A grand ceremony to mark Marka-e-Haq was held at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur, on Monday night, featuring a spectacular fireworks display and a live performance by renowned singer Ali Azmat.
Students paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces during the event. The youth danced to patriotic songs performed by Ali Azmat, who gave a memorable performance.
District Council Sukkur Chairman Syed Kumail Hyder Shah, the chief guest, addressed the gathering and lauded the armed forces. “The purpose of celebrating this day is to teach a lesson to any hostile eye cast towards Pakistan,” Shah said. “Last year, we gave the enemy a befitting response.”
The ceremony drew a large crowd from different walks of life. Commissioner Sukkur Abid Saleem Qureshi and Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Nadir Shehzad also attended. The event concluded with a fireworks display celebrating Marka-e-Haq.
