RAWALPINDI, May 12 (APP):An inter-university coin and postage stamp design competition was held at Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), under the theme “Pak-China Friendship: Cultural and Strategic Relations,” highlighting historic bilateral ties through creative student artwork.
Organized under the directives of the Higher Education Department, the event was aimed to promote awareness, creative expression and intercultural harmony among the youth in the context of Pak-China friendship.
Students participated in large numbers, presenting designs reflecting the depth of Pak-China bilateral relations.
Khansa Bint-e-Babar secured first position in coin design, while Hafiza Sajal Tuba Noor won in the postage stamp category.
A jury comprising senior faculty members and art experts evaluated the entries on creativity, technical skill and thematic relevance. All participants were awarded e-certificates in recognition of their involvement.
Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Bushra Mirza (TI), said the 75-year diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and China reflected trust, respect and sustained cooperation, expanding across education, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
Registrar Dr. Huma Rauf appreciated the students’ efforts, saying such competitions help enhance confidence, critical thinking and creative expression among students.
