Saudi Arabia issues Hajj road guide for pilgrims travelling to Makkah by land
ISLAMABAD, May 12 (APP):Roads General Authority has issued a comprehensive road guide for Hajj 1447 AH, outlining key land routes leading to Makkah and providing safety guidance to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims arriving from neighboring countries.
According to SPA, the guide highlights major international pilgrimage routes connecting Makkah with Oman, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Yemen, Bahrain and Kuwait.
The authority said the guide also includes details of mobile services available along Hajj routes, including mobile fuel stations and air-conditioned service points providing cold drinks to assist pilgrims in emergencies such as bus breakdowns.
Roadside tents for rest and guidance have also been highlighted in the guide to help facilitate safer and more comfortable travel for pilgrims heading towards the holy sites.
The report said the guide further provides important emergency contact numbers for relevant authorities, including Civil Defense, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Ministry of Health.
The Roads General Authority said the guide forms part of efforts to improve road safety and enhance services for pilgrims during the Hajj season.
