ISLAMABAD, May 11 (APP): The High Commission for Pakistan in Ottawa and the three Consulates General in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver commemorated the 1st anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with zeal and enthusiasm, paying rich tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the martyrs.
The dignified ceremony at the Pakistan High Commission was attended by a large number of Pakistani community members and friends of Pakistan, a press release on Monday said.
In his address, High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem paid rich tribute to the courage and professionalism demonstrated by Armed Forces of Pakistan during Marka-e-Haq.

He emphasized that Pakistan remained steadfast in its commitment to the international law while exercising its legitimate right to self-defence with resolve during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos in May 2025.
He underscored that Pakistan preferred dialogue and diplomacy for the regional peace and security, while remaining fully prepared to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“The “Marka-e-Haq” triumph stands as a powerful reminder that nations are strengthened not merely by military capability but by the steadfast spirit of the people to defend their legitimate rights and national interests,” he added.
Special prayers for the martyrs were held during the event. The ceremony concluded with the pledge that Marka-e-Haq would continue to inspire the nation towards building a stronger and more resilient Pakistan.
