Five cattle sale points approved in Multan

District Government Multan has approved five official cattle sale points across the district to facilitate the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals, with arrangements for cleanliness, traffic management, drinking water, and public convenience ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

MULTAN, May 08 (APP):The district government has approved five official cattle sale points across the district and issued a formal notification in this regard.
According to a statement issued by Deputy Commissioner Numan Sadiq, temporary cattle markets will be set up in Fatima Jinnah Town, Jiswant Garh, Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujabad, while another site will be established on Multan Road to facilitate the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals.
As per details, the Jalalpur Pirwala cattle market will be arranged near Virtual University, while the Shujabad market will be set up near Saleem Shah Petroleum Center. The deputy commissioner also issued special instructions to ensure cleanliness and smooth traffic management around the sale points.
The district administration has decided to take strict action against unauthorized cattle markets set up at unapproved locations. Clean drinking water, lighting and other essential facilities will be provided at the approved sites.
Authorities including Water and Sanitation Agency Multan, waste management and health departments have been directed to make comprehensive arrangements to facilitate visitors at all times.
The deputy commissioner said ensuring the availability of safe and healthy cattle for citizens is the district government’s foremost responsibility.
