ISLAMABAD, May 07 (APP):Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan on Thursday said Pakistan’s success in “Marka-e-Haq” is made possible through the coordinated leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, whose swift decision making, strategic restraint and unified chain of command enabled the country to foil India’s alleged aggression while earning global recognition as a responsible nuclear state.
In an exclusive interview with APP on the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” victory, Rana Mashhood said Pakistan responded decisively to every changing regional situation while maintaining discipline, professionalism and patience despite possessing the capability to inflict greater military damage on India.
He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had from the outset demanded an independent international inquiry to establish facts before the world, asserting that Pakistan never pursues aggression or terrorism but reserves the right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Pakistan emerged successful because the world witnessed a responsible nation exercising restraint despite having the upper hand,” he said, adding that the country’s armed forces, pilots and youth demonstrated exceptional professional excellence during the conflict.
Rana Mashhood claimed Pakistan’s defensive capabilities shattered the perception of India’s technological superiority, saying Pakistani youth proved their strength in modern warfare, cyber capabilities and advanced technologies.
Chairman PMYP added Pakistan deliberately avoided escalation despite being a nuclear power, describing the country’s atomic capability strictly as a deterrent and not a tool for aggression.
Replying to a question, Mashood Khan said the conflict had further strengthened national unity, frustrating hostile elements that believed internal divisions could weaken Pakistan before external threats.
Recalling the sacrifices made during the Pakistan Movement, the wars of 1948, 1965 and 1971, he said the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism remained deeply rooted in the nation and could never be defeated.
Rana Mashhood said the government is now focusing more on transforming the country’s youth into a technological force through artificial intelligence (AI), IT and technical education initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.
He said Pakistan had already developed a unified AI curriculum and introduced policies related to semiconductors and emerging technologies, placing the country among a limited number of states actively preparing youth for future technological challenges.
“Our focus is to positively engage young people, equip them with modern skills and provide them opportunities to compete globally,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had directed the programme to work day and night for youth empowerment.
Paying great tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and martyrs, Rana Mashhood said the nation remained proud of the sacrifices rendered by soldiers safeguarding the country’s peace and sovereignty.
“No force can stop Pakistan’s progress as long as such brave youth stand at the country’s borders,” he added.
