ISLAMABAD, May 06 (APP): The historic Al-Sayl Al-Kabeer route, home to one of Islam’s five designated miqats where pilgrims enter the state of Ihram, is once again welcoming thousands of Hajj pilgrims travelling towards Makkah during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
According to SPA, Al-Sayl Al-Kabeer, historically known as Qarn Al-Manazil, holds deep religious and historical importance for pilgrims arriving from Najd and the eastern Arabian Peninsula.
The route extends from Taif towards Makkah, descending through the mountainous areas of Al-Hada and Al-Shafa before reaching the valleys and passages leading to Al-Sayl Al-Kabeer, northeast of Makkah.
