Shipping Activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI, May 06 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where two ships, GFS Jade and Raon Teresa carrying Container and Chemicals, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal.
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘GFS Jade’ left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Raon Teresa and Lady of Doria are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 88,870 tones comprising 48,589 tones imports cargo and 40,281 export cargo carried in 266 Containers (8 TEUs Imports & 258 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 11 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a bulk cargo carrier ship ‘Kobayashi Maru’ & two more ships, Hansa Europe and CMA CGM Nile carrying Coal and Container expected to take berths PIBT and QICT respectively on today.
