Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, May 05 (APP): Seven ships, Brooklyn Bridge, Zhong Gu Kun Ming, Lady of Doria, Fortune Queen, Honor Galaxy, Bao Yue Ling and PM Hayabusa-II scheduled to load/offload Container, Furnace oil, Soya Bean Seed, Chemicals and Coal berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal, Grain Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, MW-4 and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal on during last 24 hours.

Meanwhile six (06) more ships, Elbella, Roan Teresa, Pramavera-II, Aquavita Trust, Carrie and Gooby scheduled to load/offload Furnace oil, Chemicals and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage on same period as above mention.

A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them bulk cargo carrier ‘Thor Magnihild’ left the port on Tuesday morning, while four more ships, Zhong Gu Kun Ming, Brooklyn Bridge, Honor Galaxy and GFS Jade areexpected to sail on Tuesday.

Cargo volume of 135,771 tones comprising 72,519 tones imports cargo and 63,252 export cargo carried in 4,783 Containers (1,817 TEUs Imports & 2,966 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

There are 12 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Raon Teresa and Gooby & another ship ‘GFS Jade’ carrying Chemicals, Coal and Container expected to take berths EVTL, PQEPT and QICT respectively on Tuesday.
