ISLAMABAD, May 02 (APP):The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) announced its annual Industrial Open House 2026 at its campus in Topi on Saturday, bringing together leading industry players and academia on a single platform. The event serves as a national forum for industry-academia collaboration, recruitment, and innovation.
This year’s Open House is witnessing strong participation from leading national and multinational companies, with Huawei as a key partner.
The event is further supported by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MOITT), whose leadership continues to drive Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda, reinforcing the country’s digital and industrial ecosystem.
Huawei’s active participation includes recruitment teams and technical experts engaging directly with students, offering opportunities for job interviews, internships, and project evaluations across engineering and management disciplines.

Students are showcasing cutting-edge Final Year Projects (FYPs) in disciplines including Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Materials Engineering.
The event also aimed to strengthen corporate partnerships and open avenues for collaborative research initiatives.
It recognized the role of the National Incubation Centres (NICs) and Ignite, whose programs and mentorship have played a vital role in supporting and scaling student-led projects.
Secretary of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MOITT) and GIKI Alumni Board member Zarar Khan praised the initiative, saying, “The Industrial Open House is a vital bridge between academia and industry. It empowers students, fosters innovation, and strengthens Pakistan’s digital and industrial ecosystem. As an alumnus, I am proud to see GIKI leading the way in nurturing talent and building partnerships that contribute to our national knowledge economy.”
