ISLAMABAD, Apr 30 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) organized a one-day special seminar at Bahria University to raise awareness about road safety and traffic laws among students and faculty.

An ITP official told APP on Thursday that Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Muhammad Sarfraz Virk attended the event as chief guest, while Director Admin Bahria University Commodore (R) Shaukat Ali, Professor Dr Adam Saud and focal person Dr Samra Ashfaq were also present.

CTO Virk, in his address, stressed the importance of road safety and said that compliance with traffic laws was the responsibility of every citizen.
Virk emphasized that creating awareness among the younger generation was essential to reduce traffic accidents.
Officers of the ITP Education Wing briefed participants on safe driving practices, proper use of zebra crossings, importance of helmets and seat belts, and the risks of using mobile phones while driving.
The official said a cooperation agreement was also reached between Islamabad Traffic Police and Bahria University under the “Friends of Police” programme to promote awareness initiative. The end of the seminar, students pledged to follow traffic rules and spread awareness among others.
