PESHAWAR, Apr 29 (APP):Provincial Minister for Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khaleeq Ur Rehman here Wednesday visited Health Directorate and reviewed record management system.
Director General Health, Dr. Shaheen Afridi and other concerned officials were present on the occasion. During visit, the minister inspected various sections of the directorate and reviewed the record management system.
He was briefed on the functioning of each section including the maintenance and preservation of records. The minister expressed satisfaction over the overall organization of records and operational processes.
A comprehensive presentation was also given to the minister highlighting details about different section heads, staff strength and the administrative structure of the directorate.
The minister directed to shift focus towards complete digitization of records emphasizing that transitioning to digital systems is essential to ensure efficiency, transparency and prompt service delivery. He noted that reliance on physical records leads to delays and slows down administrative processes.
He instructed that the development and implementation of digital software and systems be completed at the earliest.
