SIALKOT, Apr 23 (APP):A delegation of government officers from the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) as part of an official engagement aimed at strengthening institutional understanding of Pakistan’s industrial landscape.
Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, President of SCCI, along with prominent members of the local business community, warmly received the delegation and delivered a detailed briefing on Sialkot’s globally recognized industrial strength.
The session provided valuable insights into the city’s export-driven economy, highlighting its diverse manufacturing sectors, including sports goods, surgical instruments, and leather products.
A key focus of the discussion was the distinctive “Sialkot Model” of development — a successful example of private sector leadership and collective entrepreneurship.
Participants were briefed on the Chamber’s pioneering infrastructure initiatives, such as self-financed projects that have significantly enhanced the region’s trade capacity, as well as its forward-looking vision to expand Sialkot’s footprint in global markets.
The visit proved to be an important opportunity for knowledge exchange, enabling the officers to better understand the operational dynamics, challenges, and opportunities within Sialkot’s industrial ecosystem.
