Tree plantation drive continues in Gujrat

Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noor-ul-Ain qureshi, planted saplings during an ongoing tree plantation campaign in Dhool Kalan, as part of efforts to promote environmental sustainability and increase green cover in the district.

GUJRAT, Apr 23 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noor-ul-Ain qureshi, planted saplings during an ongoing tree plantation campaign in Dhool Kalan, as part of efforts to promote environmental sustainability and increase green cover in the district.
During a briefing, it was informed that around 8,000 saplings are being planted in Dhool Kalan. Under the Punjab government’s “Plant for Pakistan” programme, a target of planting 254,000 trees across the district by April 30 was being achieved.
The participants termed the plantation drive vital for environmental protection and urged citizens to actively take part in the campaign by planting more trees.
Chairman Green Pakistan and Clean Pakistan Ghulam Rasool Pakistani, Conservator Forest Gujranwala Circle Mazhar Masood, Deputy Conservator Forest Gujrat Sajjad Haider Zaidi, and founder of Karwan Development Foundation and Green Express Mazhar Hashmi were also present on the occasion
