VC briefs advisor on IUB’s AI education initiatives

BAHAWALPUR, Apr 22 (APP):Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran met with Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Dar to discuss advancements in modern education and technology integration.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor briefed the advisor on the university’s growing focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology, highlighting key academic developments. He shared that a new BS-level program in Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change has been launched, aimed at equipping students with skills to address emerging global challenges.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran further informed that AI-blended teaching methodologies have been introduced across various departments, reflecting the university’s commitment to modernizing education in line with global trends.
Advisor Ali Dar appreciated the university’s proactive role in promoting AI education and integrating advanced technologies into academic programs. He acknowledged IUB’s efforts as a significant contribution toward preparing students for the digital economy and future workforce demands.
