Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Apr 22 (APP): Shipping activity remained active at the port where six ships namely, MSC York VII, Asphalt Express, Bolan, New Galaxy, Young Glory and Golden Arion scheduled to load/offload Containers, Bitumen, Mogas, Coal and Soyabean, berthed at Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose,  Oil Terminal, HF Terminal, Bulk Terminal and Grai Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

         Meanwhile six more ships scheduled to load/offload Furnace oil, Coal, Pet Coke and Mogas also arrived at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

     A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a bulk cargo carrier Young Glory is expected to sail on today afternoon.

     A cargo volume of 84,444 tonnes comprising 76,305 tonnes imports cargo and 8,139 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 928 containers (717 TEUs imports and 211 TEUs exports), were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

     There are 08 ships at outer anchorage of the port and two container ships New Voyager and CMA CGM Verdi are expected to take berths at QICT terminal 1&2 respectively on Wednesday.
