Punjab minister directs completion of WASA schemes before monsoon

Punjab Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin has directed all Water & Sanitation Agencies (WASAs) including Faisalabad to complete their ongoing development schemes before the onset of monsoon season, emphasizing the use of quality materials to ensure transparency.

He issued these instructions while chairing an online meeting with managing directors of WASAs across Punjab. Managing Director WASA Faisalabad Saqib Raza also attended the meeting via video link along with Deputy Managing Director (Admin) Shoaib Rashid, Director Finance Javed Ghani and Director Admin Arif Suryani.
Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Yasin said that provision of clean drinking water and high-quality sewerage services to citizens was a top priority in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
He said the construction work on multi-billion-rupee sewerage development schemes was underway across the province.
The minister expressed confidence that upon completion of these projects, the citizens would witness a transformed Punjab with significantly improved standards of basic civic facilities.
He stressed that all development schemes must be completed before June so that their benefits could reach the public and ensure efficient drainage of rainwater during the monsoon season.
During the meeting, MD WASA Saqib Raza briefed the participants in detail about the progress of ongoing development schemes in Faisalabad, which was appreciated by the provincial minister.
The WASA MD assured that all projects would be completed within the stipulated timeline.
