Seminar at RAC highlights Iqbal’s philosophy, Ishq-e-Rasool

RAWALPINDI, Apr 21 (APP):Speakers at a seminar said that the philosophy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, particularly his concept of Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH), continues to offer profound guidance for both individual and collective life.

The seminar titled “Fikr-e-Iqbal mein Ishq-e-Rasool (SAWW)” was organised in connection with Iqbal’s death anniversary held at the Punjab Council of the Arts (RAC) on Tuesday, and drew a large number of scholars, teachers, students and literary figures.

Renowned scholar Dr Idrees Azad, intellectual Prof Dr Jameel Asghar Jami and research scholar Naeem Akram Qureshi attended as guests of honour, while noted poet and critic Prof Jaleel Aali presided over the session. Poet and Radio Pakistan anchor Riffat Anjum conducted the proceedings.

Speakers elaborated on various dimensions of Iqbal’s thought, focusing on his philosophy of Khudi and poetic contributions, and paid tribute to his intellectual legacy. They emphasised that his message remains a guiding light for the younger generation and urged youth to draw inspiration from his ideas.

Director Rawalpindi Arts Council Muhammad Shakoor said Iqbal’s thought serves as a vital source of intellectual guidance and that organizing such literary events was essential to familiarize youth with his message. He added that similar programmes would continue to promote literature and culture and strengthen positive intellectual traditions in society.

The seminar concluded with a resolve to continue organizing academic and literary activities to promote Iqbal’s teachings and raise awareness among youth, with participants appreciating the well-organized and dignified conduct of the event.
