Tree plantation drive continues in Kharian

GUJRAT, Apr 21 (APP): A tree plantation drive was underway along the GT Road to promote a greener environment.
Official sources said here on Tuesday that on the direction of Assistant Commissioner Kharian Ahmed Sher Gondal, a total of 120 saplings were planted, including 70 by Municipal Committee Lalamusa and 50 by Municipal Committee Kharian.
Special teams of municipal committees and the Suthra Punjab programme were actively engaged in the restoration and maintenance of greenbelts, where grass cutting, land leveling and further plantation were also in progress.
The district administration said that the campaign would continue to enhance the city’s beauty and improve the environment.
