WAH CANTT, Apr 20 (APP):Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan, Rear Admiral (retd) Fred Senevirathne, has visited the historic Taxila Museum, praising efforts to preserve the region’s ancient Gandhara heritage.
He was received by senior officials from the Department of Archaeology, including Deputy Director, Aasim Dogar and briefed the visiting delegation on the museum’s historical significance and its extensive collection.
The High Commissioner toured several galleries, viewing artefacts from the Gandhara civilisation, including notable Buddhist-era sculptures that highlight the region’s rich cultural and artistic legacy.
Senevirathne expressed appreciation for the museum’s management and staff, commending their work in conserving shared cultural heritage.
