DC directs to formulate joint strategy to remove illegal encroachments from Markets

LARKANA, Apr 17 (APP):Deputy Commissioner of Larkana, Tariq Manzoor Chandio, along with Assistant Commissioner of Baqrani, Ashiq Jatoi, conducted an official visit to Gharilo Town and reviewed civic facilities, the sanitation situation and ongoing development works on Friday. Upon arrival in Gharilo, the Town Committee Chairman, Saeed Ahmed Abbasi, along with municipal and revenue officials, welcomed the Deputy Commissioner.

The Town Chairman provided a detailed briefing on the current situation of the city and development initiatives. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various markets and streets of Gharilo and assessed the sanitation situation alongside ongoing development works. He also met with shopkeepers, journalists, and residents, directly seeking their input on civic issues.

The DC directed the Assistant Commissioner of Bakrani and the Town Chairman to formulate a joint strategy to remove illegal encroachments from markets and main commercial areas. He stated that keeping thoroughfares clear is essential for public convenience and traffic flow.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed officials to identify a suitable location for the construction of a public park in the city and prepare a plan. He said recreational facilities are important, especially for the well-being of children and families.

Furthermore, he directed the town administration to present a detailed development plan for Gharilo Town, prioritizing the upgrading of the sewerage system and the improvement of street infrastructure. He emphasized that better drainage and paved streets are crucial for improving the quality of life of citizens.

Deputy Commissioner Tariq Manzoor Chandio praised the efforts of the Town Committee and assured full cooperation from the district administration for the development of Gharilo. He stated that the Sindh government is committed to improving municipal facilities in all cities of the district.
