Essential commodity prices revised in Gujrat

The District Price Control Committee revised prices of essential food items to ensure their availability at controlled rates across the district.

GUJRAT, Apr 16 (APP): The District Price Control Committee revised prices of essential food items to ensure their availability at controlled rates across the district.
The meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, where EDO Industry Muhammad Imran briefed participants on the prevailing prices of essential commodities. Vice Chairman Price Control Committee Arqam Cheema, President Anjuman Tajran Javed Butt, representatives of the Kiryana Association and other stakeholders attended the meeting.
The committee fixed new prices, including basmati rice (Super Banna) at Rs300 per kg, gram pulse (coarse) at Rs210 per kg, gram pulse (fine) at Rs190 per kg, masoor at Rs215 per kg, mash (with husk) at Rs360 per kg, mash (washed) at Rs425 per kg, moong (washed) at Rs345 per kg, black chickpeas at Rs205 per kg, white chickpeas at Rs215 per kg and gram flour at Rs215 per kg.
Milk was fixed at Rs170 per litre, yogurt at Rs180 per kg, mutton at Rs1,700 per kg, beef at Rs900 per kg, while 100-gram tandoori roti was set at Rs14.
The meeting was informed that prices of flour and sugar would be maintained as per government policy, while rates of ghee and red chili powder would be implemented according to printed prices. Rates of fruits, vegetables, eggs and broiler chicken would be applied as per the Market Committee’s official list.
The deputy commissioner directed price control magistrates to remain active in the field and ensure strict implementation of the notified rates, warning that legal action would be taken against violators.
