ISLAMABAD, Apr 16 (APP): Zamurrad Khan, Patron-in-Chief of Sweet Home and former MNA, here on Thursday met Major General (R) Ghulam Qamar, Director General Religious Education (DGRE), to discuss mechanism exceptionally talented Huffaz from Sweet Home and madrasas across Pakistan could be identified and provided fully funded, high quality contemporary education to prepare them for future national and religious leadership.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to implement Sweet Home’s proposal aimed at identifying outstanding young Huffaz nationwide and equipping them with free access to higher education.
Under the proposed initiative, selected students would be offered fully funded educational opportunities within Pakistan as well as abroad, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to both religion and the country.
To operationalize the plan, preparations are underway to develop a comprehensive policy framework that will ensure transparent selection and effective implementation across all regions.
Major General Ghulam Qamar said that modern educational facilities were already being extended to around 20,000 madrasas across the country, opening new pathways for students in higher education, employment and professional growth.
The initiative is being seen as a significant step towards bridging the gap between religious and contemporary education while creating broader opportunities for madrasa students.
