PFA conducts 138 inspections to ensure safe food provision

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted 138 inspections across the district to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.

GUJRAT, Apr 16 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted 138 inspections across the district to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.
According to official sources, 80 improvement notices were issued to food business operators over various violations.
Meanwhile, fines amounting to Rs81,000 were imposed on five food businesses for non-compliance with food safety standards.
During the campaign, two food samples were collected and sent to the laboratory for analysis.
The PFA reiterated its commitment to continuing strict enforcement actions to ensure the availability of hygienic and safe food for citizens.
