Marine ISTA carries out record bunkering at Karachi Port

KARACHI, Apr 13 (APP):Marine ISTA of Vitol, Monday, completed the largest-ever bunkering operation at Karachi Port, supplying 4,900 metric tonnes of fuel to MSC Apollo.

The vessel made a bunker-only call at the KPT area that was responded to by the port administration with supply of 4900 metric tonnes of fuel, said a statement issued here.

This milestone highlights KPT and its stakeholders’ enhanced capability to handle large vessels for bunkering and emerging as a bunkering hub, the KPT spokesperson said, adding that the expanding market will afford significant boost to Pakistan’s refinery and maritime sectors.
