PESHAWAR, Apr 09 (APP):Former Mayor Peshawar and senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Arbab Muhammad Tariq on Thursday said that it is a matter of joy for us and the people of Pakistan that our Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, brokered peace in the world by playing the role of mediator in the Iran-US war.
The role played by our country elders have proved that Pakistan has never been in favor of terrorism, but Pakistan has always opposed terrorism and today, through the Islamabad peace talks, two big powers are leading the region towards peace.
Addressing a press conference here at the Peshawar Press Club, Arbab Muhammad Tariq said that even today peace has been established in the world, but Israel is continuously staining its hands with the blood of Muslims.
Arbab Tariq said he salute the spirit and courage with which the Iranian people faced missiles and bombs.
Iran has proven that it fought well with the forces hostile to Islam. He added that God willing, Islamabad would prove to be the capital of peace and Pakistan’s role is exemplary for peace.
He appealed to all stakeholders participating in the Islamabad peace talks to show patience and tolerance on the points presented by Iran and the United States for peace so that real peace can be established in the region and humanity does not have to be ashamed.
Arbab Muhammad Tariq said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir worked day and night for peace during the critical period of the US-Iran war, and to establish peace in the entire region today, hoping that the talks would be successful.
