ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (APP):President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Sardar Tahir Mehmood, has highly commended the country’s civil and military leadership for their visionary and proactive diplomacy in successfully facilitating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, calling it a historic achievement that has helped avert a potentially devastating regional conflict.
He specifically lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for their tireless diplomatic engagement and coordinated efforts, which played a crucial role in de-escalating tensions and bringing both sides to the negotiating table.
Sardar Tahir Mehmood stated that Pakistan’s timely and balanced intervention at a critical juncture reflects the country’s growing stature as a responsible global player and a credible mediator in international conflicts.
