ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Media Affairs, Iftikhar Durrani has said that Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), government would construct the houses for low income group with affordable rates.
Implementing “Akhuwat Model” for constructing small houses, he said the cost of this house was affordable and approachable for any poor person or low income group.
Talking to a private news channel, Durrani said that Pakistan was rich in natural resources which need to be explored for benefiting the common man.
He said that the rich potential was also available in industrial sectors of Pakistan while we have cheap labour that could be injected in construction work.
Commenting on corruption, he said that corruption was an issue of the country, which he added his leader Imran Khan after coming into power focusing on eliminate the menace from the society.
He said that ‘Chinese model’ could be used for wiping out corruption besides poverty in the country.
To a question about increasing rate in power sector, he said that previous governments are responsible for making deal with the IPPS and LNG companies with high rates.
It was unfortunate that previous governments could not introduce lease in industrial and housing sectors.
To another question about loan from IMF, he said that there was no need to approach IMF for loan purpose as Pakistan holds a fertile land and sufficient natural resources.
He added that the resources could be utilized for the benefit of the people of this country.
