Commissioner Hazara calls for public cooperation during smart lockdown

ABBOTTABAD, Apr 08 (APP): Commissioner Hazara Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the smart lockdown in Hazara Division.
Deputy Commissioners and District Police Officers participated via video link.
Addressing the meeting, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of public cooperation during the ongoing crisis, particularly amid rising fuel prices.
He instructed all Deputy Commissioners to hold consultations with trade unions to build confidence in government measures and ensure effective enforcement of the lockdown.
Regarding transport, the Commissioner confirmed that all taxes at bus and wagon stands have been abolished by the provincial cabinet and that Sui gas supply has been ensured. He warned that overcharging of fares would not be tolerated.
Directives were issued to the Regional Transport Authority, Tehsil Municipal Officers, Assistant Commissioners, and Additional Assistant Commissioners to strictly monitor transport hubs and take immediate action against any violations, including cancellation of route permits and stand licenses.
The Commissioner stressed that public unity and cooperation are essential during this challenging period. He assured citizens that all normal activities would resume once the situation stabilizes and appealed to the public to trust and support government measures.
