LARKANA, Apr 08 (APP): The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, stated that Pakistan’s political leadership played an important and historic role in the conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
Due to Pakistan’s timely intervention, effective diplomacy, and strategic planning, millions of lives were saved, and the region was protected from destruction.
He expressed these views while speaking to the media in Jacobabad here on Wednesday.
He said that regarding Iran, he had previously mentioned that Pakistan’s leadership may have studied and followed the foreign policy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Pakistan did not join any bloc but remained neutral and conveyed a message of peace and brotherhood to the world. Pakistan’s foreign policy has astonished the world.
He further said that Pakistan played a key role in the entire situation by securing concessions from Iran for the passage of oil tankers despite the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and also stood firmly with Saudi Arabia during difficult times. When Saudi Arabia faced an unjustified attack, Pakistan condemned it.
He added that globally, whether it was the United States, Israel, Arab countries, or Iran, all agreed to a two-week ceasefire based on Pakistan’s proposals. We should be thankful to Almighty Allah for preserving the dignity of the people of Pakistan.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that a policy is being implemented to support motorcycle owners, under which every registered motorcycle owner will receive fuel worth 2,000 rupees. Motorcycle registration offices have been kept open until 10 PM. The Sindh government stands with the federal government in challenging times.
In response to a question, he said that the issue of jobs from grades 1 to 4 had been taken to court by opposition parties, causing some delay. However, the Sindh government has won the case, and appointment orders will soon be issued in districts where the process has been completed, including Jacobabad.
He stated that criticism is the job of the opposition, while the people of Sindh are satisfied with the performance of the Pakistan Peoples Party, which is why it has been winning elections continuously since 2008.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, along with several leaders including Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah and others, visited Jacobabad to offer condolences to senior politician and PPP leader MNA Aijaz Khan Jakhrani on the death of his father Ahmed Khan, also known as Mir Babul Khan Jakhrani.
On this occasion, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the passing of Mir Babul Khan Jakhrani is a great political loss that can never be filled, and his services for the Pakistan Peoples Party will always be remembered.
