Over 183,000 women receive BISP payments

SARGODHA, Apr 08 (APP):As many as 183,140 registered women beneficiaries have received payments under the ongoing March-May 2026 quarterly tranche of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Sargodha district.

Deputy Director BISP Safder Awan, while speaking to APP on Wednesday, said the disbursement process for the latest tranche is progressing smoothly. Out of 193,564 registered beneficiaries in the district, 183,140 women across all tehsils have so far received Rs14,500 each.

Providing a tehsil-wise breakdown, he said payments have been made to 14,380 out of 16,408 beneficiaries in Bhera, 18,907 out of 21,777 in Bhalwal, 9,966 out of 11,111 in Sahiwal, 16,409 out of 18,456 in Shahpur, 88,601 out of 88,603 in Sargodha city, 22,684 out of 25,018 in Kot Momin, and 12,193 out of 12,196 beneficiaries in Sillanwali.

He added that more than 100 payment devices are operational across the district, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the disbursement process. The remaining payments are expected to be completed soon.
