Pakistan played key role in reducing regional tensions: Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (APP): Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Pakistan has once again shown leadership at the global level as a country that supports peace, wisdom and responsibility.
In a statement on X on Wednesday, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan played an active and strategic role in lowering tensions in the region.
He said the continuous and coordinated diplomatic efforts of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar helped present Pakistan’s position effectively at the international level.
The minister said Pakistan has proven that it is not just watching events but is playing a leading role by protecting its national interests and promoting peace, dialogue and stability in the region.
He added that Pakistan’s efforts to help achieve a ceasefire between Iran and the United States show its commitment as a responsible country.
“This leadership guides the nation in difficult times and works day and night for peace,” he said.
He also reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to unity, stability and lasting peace.
