Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has foiled a major drug smuggling attempt in the provincial capital, recovering 12,000 grams of hashish during a targeted operation near the motorway and a case has been registered at Excise Police Station, Peshawar.
Excise Intelligence foils smuggling attempt, seizes 12kg hashish

PESHAWAR, Apr 08 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has foiled a major drug smuggling attempt in the provincial capital, recovering 12,000 grams of hashish during a targeted operation near the motorway and a case has been registered at Excise Police Station, Peshawar.
The operation, conducted under the province’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics, was carried out by the Excise Intelligence Special Squad under the supervision of Provincial In-Charge Saud Khan Gandapur and Excise & Taxation Officer (Counter Narcotics Operations) Majid Khan.
Acting on secret intelligence, the team, led by In-Charge Waheed Akbar Khan, intercepted a vehicle on the Budhni service road adjacent to the Peshawar Motorway. During the search, the team recovered the hashish from vehicle number LEA-1888.
