Immediate energization of 132kv grid station imperative to resolve low voltage issue in Kohistan: Commissioner Hazara

Commissioner of Hazara Division Syed Fayaz Ali shah Wednesday while expressing strong displeasure over prolonged delays, has declared that the immediate energization of the 132 kV grid station is indispensable for resolving the chronic low-voltage issue in Kohistan, warning that any further delay will be completely unacceptable.

ABBOTTABAD, Apr 08 (APP):Commissioner of Hazara Division Syed Fayaz Ali shah Wednesday while expressing strong displeasure over prolonged delays, has declared that the immediate energization of the 132 kV grid station is indispensable for resolving the chronic low-voltage issue in Kohistan, warning that any further delay will be completely unacceptable.
The directive was issued during a high-level meeting held at the Commissioner’s Office in Abbottabad to review progress and obstacles regarding the grid station’s energization. Senior officials from relevant authorities participated via video link and in person.
At the outset of the meeting, the Commissioner expressed profound concern and frustration over the failure to energize the grid station despite several months having passed. He stated that the unnecessary delays are adversely affecting the crushing and batching activities of the Dasu Hydropower Project, resulting in significant financial losses to the national exchequer.
The Commissioner further emphasized that the long-standing issue of low voltage in Kohistan persists, and the prompt energization of the grid station is critical for a permanent solution. He also regretted that defects identified during a committee’s visit had not been rectified in a timely manner.
The meeting highlighted that the project has been stalled due to a lack of effective coordination among relevant departments, including NGP, DHPP, and HAZECO, terming the situation concerning for a project of national importance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Commissioner issued clear directives, instructing that all pending matters be resolved immediately to ensure the early completion and energization of the grid station. He unequivocally stated that any further delay will not be tolerated.
