LARKANA, Apr 07 (APP): Under the supervision of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Larkana, the annual examinations for the SSC Part -I and SSC Part-ll began on Tuesday.
On the first day, papers for ninth-grade Physics and tenth-grade Biology were conducted across District Larkana. Chairman of the intermediate and Secondary Education Board Larkana, Khalid Hussain Mahar, along with board officers, visited various examination centers in Larkana city to review the arrangements.
He directed education department officers to make proper arrangements to prevent cheating and to take strict action against those bringing mobile phones into the examination centers.
Speaking to the media, Chairman Khalid Hussain Mehr said that a meeting was held with the Commissioner of Larkana to prevent cheating during the exams, in which they requested the Commissioner to ensure the deployment of police personnel for maintaining law and order.
A meeting was also held with superintendents before the exams, where they were strictly instructed to take tough action against those bringing mobile phones into the centers. While complaints were received from some locations, action has been taken accordingly.
The police are only responsible for security; however, at some places complaints were received that police had not been deployed, so they will again request the Commissioner to ensure police personnel are stationed there.
Regarding power load-shedding during exams, a letter has been written to SEPCO authorities requesting no load-shedding during examination hours.
He further stated that the board has formed 14 vigilance teams, including education department officers, to prevent cheating.
Additionally, teams comprising the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and Mukhtiarkars have also been formed by the Commissioner’s office to visit examination centers.
At the center where they are currently present, the exams are proceeding smoothly.
