Fruits exports from the country during the first eight months of current financial year grew by 6.25 percent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year.
Fruits worth of $251.947 mln exported in 08 months of FY2026

ISLAMABAD, Apr 7 (APP):Fruits exports from the country during the first eight months of current financial year grew by 6.25 percent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-February, 2025-26 471,264 metric tons of fresh fruits of different kinds valued at $251.947 million were exported as compared to the exports of 462,292 metric tons worth of $237.130 million of the same period of the last year.
However, the exports of vegetables fro the country during the period under review decreased by 46.45 percent as compared the exports of the same period of the last year, according to the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
During last eight months, over 423,840 metric tons of vegetables worth of $121.681 million were exported from the country as compared to the exports of 803,849 metric tons costing $227.224 million of the same period of the last year.
On year on year basis, the exports of fruits from the country grew by 1.24 percent in the month of February 2026 as compared the same month of the last year. About 59,508 metric tons of fruits valued at $26.935 million were exported from the country during the month of February as against the exports of 57,355 metric tons worth of $26.204 million of the same month of the last year.
The country earned $15.151 million by exporting 62,458 metric tons of vegetables during the month of February, 2026 as against the exports of 286,072 metric tons worth of $62.289 million of the same month of the last year.
It is worth mentioning here that different food commodities worth of $3.394 billion were exported during first eight months of the current financial year as compared to the exports of $5.173 billion of the same period of the last year.
