GUJRAT, Apr 07 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) carried out 80 inspections across Gujrat district
to check quality and safety of food.
According to a PFA spokesperson, 35 food outlets received improvement notices
for breaking safety rules. A fine of Rs 92,000 were imposed at four locations.
Two food samples were collected for lab testing, and 1.5 kilograms of banned food
items were discarded.
The officials said actions against substandard and unsafe food would continue, and the
supply of safe food to the public would be ensured.
