UAE Ambassador, PRCCSF Executive Director discuss strengthening Pakistan–UAE cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Apr 06 (APP): Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, His Excellency Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, held an important meeting with Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), during the latter’s visit to the UAE Embassy in Islamabad on Monday.

The discussion centered on expanding academic, cultural, and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

H.E. Al Zaabi warmly welcomed Mr. Akram and praised his “valuable contributions and consistent efforts” in strengthening the multifaceted relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. He particularly highlighted Mr. Akram’s role in promoting dialogue, cultural understanding, and people-to-people linkages through research-driven initiatives and institutional engagement.

Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram expressed gratitude for the Ambassador’s proactive diplomatic efforts in enhancing Pakistan–UAE relations. He lauded the Embassy’s initiatives in deepening collaborations across education, research, and cultural exchange, noting that such endeavors have played a significant role in bringing the two nations closer.

Both sides emphasized the increasing importance of cooperation between think tanks, academic institutions, and policy research bodies in the UAE and Pakistan. Strengthening these intellectual platforms, they agreed, would help deepen mutual understanding and open new avenues for bilateral partnership.

During the meeting, it was mutually agreed that both PRCCSF and the UAE Embassy would work closely to advance joint research initiatives and knowledge exchange programs. Plans were discussed for organizing seminars, conferences, and dialogue forums aimed at promoting scholarly cooperation and enhancing institutional connectivity.

The meeting concluded on a note of shared commitment, with both parties reaffirming their dedication to advancing long-term collaboration in fields of mutual interest and further reinforcing the historic ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
