RAWALPINDI, Apr 06 (APP): Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam said that modern and convenient driving licensing services continued across the district last month, benefiting more than 84,500 citizens in one month.
According to the details, during the month of March, 23,266 individuals obtained learner driving permits, 15,025 were issued new driving licences, 5,208 renewed their existing licences, and 929 had their licences verified. Additionally, 154 citizens received international driving permits, while over 39,915 people availed other licensing-related services.
Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam in a statement said that the significance number of citizens accessing licensing services was encouraging and highlighted that, under the guidance of DIG Traffic Punjab, citizens were being provided with exemplary facilities.
He urged citizens to obtain their driving licences on time to comply with traffic laws and avoid fines. He added that services such as online learner permits, licence renewals, and other facilities were available through the DLIMS website, while mobile licensing vans ensured doorstep services for residents in remote areas.
