SALU Opens Admissions 2026 for MS, M.Phil & Ph.D. Programs Across Diverse Disciplines

SUKKUR, Apr 05 (APP): The Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), through its Directorate of Postgraduate Studies on Sunday has announced the opening of online admissions for MS/M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes for the academic year 2026.
According to an official circular issued here, applications have been invited from eligible candidates across multiple disciplines. Interested applicants can submit their forms online through the university’s official website.
The university is offering a wide range of postgraduate programmes under its various faculties, including Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Education. Key disciplines include Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Media Studies, International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, and Teacher Education.
A limited number of seats have been allocated for each programme, with higher intake in subjects such as Computer Science and Business Administration.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates applying for MS/M.Phil programmes must possess at least 16 years of education in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks or second division from an HEC-recognized university. For Ph.D. admissions, applicants are required to hold an MS/M.Phil or equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
The admission schedule indicates that online submission of application forms will continue from April 2 to April 30, 2026, while the last date for submission of hard copies along with required documents is May 4, 2026. Following scrutiny, the list of eligible candidates will be displayed on May 7, 2026. Departmental pre-entry tests are scheduled to be conducted on May 14, 2026, and the first merit list will be announced on May 21, 2026.
The university has further clarified that candidates possessing valid GAT/GRE scores with minimum required percentages will be exempted from the departmental test; however, they must appear for interviews. Those without such scores will be required to pass the university’s departmental test in accordance with Higher Education Commission Pakistan policies.
Applicants are required to submit attested copies of their academic certificates, CNIC, domicile, and recent photographs. Candidates currently employed must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective organizations. The processing fee has been set at Rs. 3,000 for MS/M.Phil programmes and Rs. 4,000 for Ph.D. programmes to be deposited in designated bank branches.
The university administration has advised all applicants to carefully read the admission prospectus and follow the prescribed rules and regulations while submitting their applications.
