FIA unearths major fuel hoarding,seizes 136,000 liters

SARGODHA, Apr 05 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sargodha circle seized 136,000 liters of illegally hoarded fuel (diesel, petrol) worth millions of rupees during multiple intelligence-based raids across the district on Sunday.

According to FIA officials, the first operation was conducted at Pull 11 on Sargodha-Faisalabad road, where two tankers carrying 96,000 liters of petrol were recovered.

In a second raid at Shandar Pump, agency officials recovered 40,000 liters of petrol and subsequently sealed the tanker.

A third operation was carried out in the Istiqlalabad area, where an illegal oil warehouse containing underground petrol storage was discovered and sealed by the authorities.

Deputy Director FIA Ahsan Bajwa stated that the total quantity of recovered fuel amounts to 136,000 liters, valued at millions of rupees.

He further added that crackdowns against fuel hoarding would be conducted on a daily basis to curb illegal storage and ensure supply stability in the region.
